Can we turn wrecks into riders in JUST 48 hours? This is the 48 Hour Revive And Ride Challenge! In this video we buy two JUNK motorcycles from a salvage yard and work tirelessly to get them running and riding so we can go get ice cream 100 miles away in under 48 hours. CB750 Engine Damage / Bent Forks / 3 Cylinder Bliss And More!

CB750 Engine Damage / Bent Forks / 3 Cylinder Bliss And More! This weeks update has more CB750 action with bad news on two bikes. The CB750 chopper is getting a ton of work done but we have now discovered the forks are bent and there is no simple solution. The CB750 cafe is down a cylinder with mechanical damage that we will have to diagnose. Beyond that there is a beautiful Yamaha XS750 triple...
My Barn Find Honda CB750 FINALLY Gets A New Clutch!
Просмотров 14 тыс.День назад
My barn find Honda CB750 FINALLY gets a new clutch to replace the slipping original! After getting this bike running and riding I have ridden it over 3,000 miles which have been awesome but....only at 90% throttle as the original clutch would occasionally slip in 3rd and 4th gear at wide open throttle. It would also slip on bumps while accelerating. This was of course not ideal but never bother...

It is definitely much cleaner in this video than it was as Seth and I were on a mad dash to get some bikes up and running. It was truly an adventure. Now that it is over I we can work to get the content out so check the video out to see whats coming up! If you found this video helpful or simply wis...

FREE Suzuki GS550 Revival Time Lapse!

Free Suzuki GS550 Revival Time Lapse! This 1981 Suzuki GS550 came into my possession a couple years ago through a friend who wanted it out of their garage. They had owned the bike for a long time but it had sat for the last 33 years unused. It was dusty and rusty but full of potential so I loaded it up and began the process of reviving it. This video is a quick summary of what I did to get the ...

Vintage Motorcycles Suck!

Vintage motorcycles suck sometimes and are wonderful other times. This time I have a familiar CB750 in the shop to diagnose a single ignition issue but quickly snowballed into multiple problems all showing up at once! This one tested me but in the end I got the bike sorted out and back to riding for a happy customer. Other videos on this bike and other electrical focused episodes: Orange CB750 ...

Removing Fuel Tank Rust With A Chain And Vinegar AMAZING RESULTS!

Continuing on the Honda CB750 chopper project I am removing the fuel tank rust using a chain and vinegar with amazing results! I started out using some chain to break up the larger chunks and get us 75% of the way there. I eventually ha...

Making a clean cafe racer LED turn signal setup on my Yamaha XS400 build with these units from Purpose Built Moto. These are a really well designed light that I can use as a run/turn/and brake on this build to keep the rear end very clean and minimal which is the goal! In the rear I made some bushings to weld into the frame for a very tight fit with no visible brackets. Up front I used a P-clam...

Early CB750’s also didn’t steer - or stop very well - either. And in the rain, no matter how much you got it right in the dry, the ignition was sketchy for sure. The headlight nacelle spaghetti was where to go first or second, but the upper frame mounted electrical components were fussy too sometimes. They still didn’t suck though. They were amazing in their time. IMO. I rode a bought-new 1975 CB750 to work 12 months a year in New England for nearly 6 years and car levels of mileage. It was a nearly human friendship. So many things were mysterious, left unsaid. And the bike could act sort of spiteful and selfish if neglected even a little. Loose connections, main fuse blowups, were the usual culprits. But in every pinch she brought me home somehow. I sold the bike, very clean and tight, for a reasonable return on investment when I decided to get a new bike before riding across the country to move to California for another 5 years of live and learn. That bike was also a Honda, different model, generation, and story. Another rock-solid bike and it didn’t suck too. But first and second gen CB750s were something different than anything ever and changed everything. Now I am pretty old and mostly like Moto Guzzi. They are wonderful and make very little sense in some ways, but don’t suck either.

I would like to say that a title is important to ensure that vehicles are not stolen, but that is not what is going on anymore now it is being used so people are forced to buy new or newer vehicles. So we need to communicate with our representatives so come up with a 21 century answer to this question.
